About Watch In Order
Most “movies in order” lists are long articles you scroll once and forget. Watch In Order turns them into something you can use: pick an order, tick what you have seen, and see exactly how many hours stand between you and the next release.
How the orders are built
Release order is simply the order things came out. Chronological orders follow an official timeline where one exists (Disney+ publishes one for the MCU and groups Star Wars by era) and the stated setting of each title where none does. Every judgement call is written next to the title it affects, so you can disagree with us and skip ahead.
Series are tracked per season and per episode, because that is where most people lose their place. Optional extras, like the Netflix Defenders shows or the Star Wars Legends films, never count towards completion unless you switch them on.
Where the data comes from
Release dates, runtimes and episode counts are checked against studio announcements and English Wikipedia, and each universe page shows the date it was last verified. Upcoming dates are marked “confirmed” only when the studio has announced them; anything else is labelled “reported”. Posters are the official artwork as hosted on Wikipedia.
