Privacy
Watch In Order is run by AXSystem Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This page explains what we store and why, in plain language.
Without an account
Ticks, ratings and preferences are stored in your own browser (IndexedDB and localStorage). Nothing is sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it.
With an account
- We store your email address, a hashed password (bcrypt), your display name, username and whether your profile is public.
- We store your watch progress: which titles and episodes you marked, ratings and the dates you entered.
- We keep sign-in sessions (a random token, your browser's user agent string and timestamps) so you stay signed in.
- We keep a short-lived record of sign-in attempts per IP address to stop password guessing.
Your email address is never shown publicly and is used only to sign you in. We do not sell or share personal data and we run no advertising trackers.
Public profiles
Profiles are public by default: anyone with the link can see your display name, username, totals, per-universe percentages and badges, and you appear on the leaderboard. Tick “private profile” in Settings at any time to hide it; your email address is never shown.
Your rights
Export your data as JSON or delete your account, including all progress, from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent; nightly database backups expire within 30 days. For anything else, email hello@axsystem.co.uk.
Hosting and cookies
The site runs on a server in the EU. The only cookie is the session cookie that keeps you signed in. Films, series and artwork belong to their respective owners; this is an independent fan project.
